Daniel and I had been married for fifteen years and had two children. I sincerely believed that our marriage was happy. But when his kidneys began to fail, everything changed.😮😮😮
His condition quickly worsened, and the doctors told us that a transplant had become essential. Terrified at the thought of losing my husband, I immediately agreed to undergo the necessary tests to become his donor. I was compatible and, without hesitation, I gave him my kidney.
The operation went well, although waking up was painful and exhausting. Yet my first thought was Daniel. I simply wanted to know how he was doing.
Since we were in different rooms, I struggled to make my way to his. But when I opened the door, I froze.
A woman was sitting on his bed, in his arms.
— What is happening here? I asked, completely devastated.
The woman looked at me with a smile and told me that she and Daniel had been together for six months. They had simply waited for me to give him my kidney so they could continue their relationship without me.
Daniel did not even try to deny it.
— I’m no longer happy with you. Jessica gave me my life back.
Those words deeply hurt me. I had just undergone a major operation to save the man I loved, and I was now discovering that he might have been manipulating me for months.
I returned to my room without making a scene. But something inside me had changed.
I called my mother and asked her to bring me an old box that had been kept in our basement. I then had it delivered directly to Daniel.
A few minutes later, his screams echoed through the hallway. Jessica hurried out of the room, screaming:
— Oh my God! No!
And what was inside was simply unbelievable and completely shocking. 😮😮😮

The next morning, my mother explained what she had put in the box: documents that I had kept for years and had never had the courage to open.
They were copies of messages, bank statements, and photographs proving that Daniel had been having a relationship with Jessica for much longer than he had admitted.
But the most important document was a contract he had signed several months earlier. In it, Daniel had planned to file for divorce immediately after his transplant and transfer part of our savings into an account he shared with Jessica.
I was speechless.
My mother had also discovered that Jessica knew exactly about Daniel’s medical condition and had exchanged several messages with him even before I donated my kidney to him.
I handed all the evidence over to my lawyer.
A few days later, Daniel tried to contact me, but I no longer answered his calls. I wasn’t looking for revenge. I simply wanted to protect my children and recover what legally belonged to me.
The divorce proceedings were eventually initiated.
Daniel and Jessica had to answer for their actions before the appropriate authorities, while my lawyers handled my financial interests.
I had given a part of myself to save the man I loved.
But this ordeal taught me one essential thing: I might forgive him one day, but I would never trust him with my life again.
