Sister Isabella became pregnant for the second time, even though no man had ever entered the monastery. The doors were locked every night, the windows barred, and no male presence was allowed. Yet the facts were there, inexplicable.
Mother Véronique watched helplessly. Isabella already had two young children and was expecting again. With every pregnancy, she repeated the same thing: nausea, fatigue, identical signs. And every time, she swore she had never betrayed her vows.
“Mother… I think I’m pregnant again,” whispered Isabella.
Mother Véronique felt her blood run cold. Three pregnancies in three years, in a completely closed place. At first, she refused to believe it.
“Who comes to see you at night?” she finally asked.
“No one,” Isabella replied with troubling calmness.
Unable to find an explanation, Mother Véronique called Doctor Lucien. But after his visit, one detail worried her: a fresh piece of bandage tape carrying the doctor’s scent. Doubt settled in. The monastery seemed to be under observation.
Later, a newborn was born. An injection mark appeared on the baby’s arm. Someone was intervening in secret.
And Mother Véronique understood that the truth was far more dangerous than she had imagined.

Mother Véronique remained motionless for several seconds. The newborn was crying, and the red dot beneath the bandage made her blood run cold.
“Who touched this child…” she whispered.
No sister answered. Doctor Paloma appeared, far too calm.
“Mother Véronique, did you call for me?”
“I sent nothing,” she replied.
The silence became unsettling.
That night, Mother Véronique followed a shadow to Isabella’s room. It was Paloma, carrying a medical bag in her hand.
“Stop!”
She opened the bag: syringes, files, evidence. Everything confirmed the manipulation.
“You were used,” Mother Véronique told Isabella.
The police were called. Paloma was arrested.
But a letter was discovered: an accomplice was still operating inside the monastery, opening the doors for years…
