All the women my widowed father dated disappeared overnight — so I asked my best friend to go out with him

All the women my widowed father dated disappeared overnight — so I asked my best friend to go out with him.

My father lost my mother twelve years ago. After her death, he refused for a long time to meet another woman. Then, almost overnight, his attitude changed. He signed up for dating apps and started going out with several women.

At first, I was happy for him. He finally seemed ready to move on. Yet something quickly began to intrigue me: none of these women stayed in his life.

Every time, the scenario was identical. The date went perfectly, the woman seemed to like my father and even agreed to see him again. But the next day, she disappeared without any explanation. No more calls, no more messages.

My father didn’t understand what was happening. “But they seemed so happy,” he kept telling me, visibly hurt.

After the sixth woman, I began to suspect that this might not be a simple coincidence. Something was wrong.

So I asked my best friend, Rachel, for a favor: to go out with my father. At first, she thought I was joking, but she eventually agreed.

To my great surprise, their date went wonderfully. Rachel even called me afterward to say, “Your father is really wonderful.”

But the next morning, Rachel stopped answering.

That evening, she sent me a strange message: “Don’t contact me anymore. Please.”

Worried, I went to her home. Her car was parked in front of her building and the lights were on, but no one answered the door.

The next day, Rachel finally called me, her voice trembling.

“I can’t explain this over the phone. We need to meet.”

The following morning, I was waiting for her outside her office. As soon as she saw me, she stopped. I asked her, “What happened? What did my father do to you?”

And what happened next, as well as what was revealed, was simply unbelievable. 😮😮😮

Rachel took a deep breath before looking me straight in the eyes.

“Your father didn’t do anything to me. On the contrary… he showed me something I never would have imagined.”

I didn’t understand.

She then handed me an envelope.

Inside were photographs, copies of messages, and a list of names. They were the six women who had dated my father.

“I discovered that they had all received the same messages after their dates with him,” Rachel explained. “Someone was asking them to disappear and threatening them with revealing certain secrets from their past.”

I felt my heart start racing.

“But who was doing this?”

Rachel lowered her eyes.

“Your father knew about it from the beginning.”

I was in shock. She explained that my father had hired a detective when he realized that the women were mysteriously disappearing. He had discovered that someone close to him was deliberately sabotaging each of his relationships.

And that person was… my uncle.

He had never accepted that my father would rebuild his life after my mother’s death. He wanted to maintain control over his finances and feared that a new partner would become his heir.

My father had recorded everything and handed the evidence over to the police.

A few days later, my uncle was arrested. Rachel, on the other hand, had never disappeared.

She had simply agreed to take part in my father’s plan to uncover the truth.

That day, I understood one thing: sometimes, behind a series of impossible coincidences, there is a secret that no one could ever have imagined.
